VISION
The department is committed to achieve academic excellence through education and research in the emerging and established areas of Computer Engineering.
MISSION
Building the capacities of young students to realize their professional and academic dreams.
DEPARTMENT GOAL
Our goal is to provide state of the art courses in Computer Science and Engineering discipline.
ABOUT DEPARTMENT
Computers have captured the world. Today there is no single field were computers have not left a mark. The Department of Computer Engineering established in 2010 is dedicated to produce students who excel in this field. The department aims at IT based Learning, Development of Entrepreneurship among student and become a Centre of Excellence. The Department places high priority on establishing and maintaining innovative research programs that enhance the educational opportunity and encourage a broad base of extramural support to prepare future generations of computer professionals for long term careers in research, technical development and applications. The department has organized many series of expert lecture for the students on the latest developing trends in computer industry.
HOD MESSAGE
Welcome to Department of Computer Engineering
The Department of Computer Engineering is dedicated for ensuring great careers for its students. For us, this means forging deeper industry linkages than ever before, creating a research culture from day one and ensuring seamless education using the best technology available anywhere. The excellent infrastructure, teaching faculty of the best kind of the Department ensuring quality education such as interaction among students, parents and staff, along with a Training and Placement Cell ensures a bright future to its students. We strongly encourage innovation in research, in teaching and in service to the profession, the local community and industry. Our faculty and students are constantly striving to excel and to advance the state of the art in Computer Engineering. I invite you to be part of our efforts as we propel the department of Computer Engineering to ever-greater heights. In closing, I wish all the students and faculty a good academic career.
Sincerely, and with best wishes,
Prof. Yashwant R Wakhare
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)
A graduate in the discipline of Computer Engineering is generally
expected to have three kinds of knowledge.
First, the graduate should have conceptual knowledge of
the core topics of Computer Science.
Second,
he/she should have knowledge of mathematical formalism underlying
various programming concepts.
Third, graduates in the discipline of Computer Engineering
should have
the knowledge of the state of the technologies
and tools so that he/she can apply the principles of Computer Science to
solve real-life problems from diverse
application domains. The programme of B.Tech. in Computer Engineering at
Vilasrao Deshmukh Foundation,
Group of Institutions, Latur aims to meet these three broad
expectations. At the same time, the program intends to
comply with the courses and syllabus available at National Program on
Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) and SWAYAM.
The following specific educational objectives aim to achieve these
global and regional expectations.
The following table shows the PEO identifiers and objectives.
PEO Identifier | Objectives |
---|---|
PEO1 | To provide sound knowledge of mathematical principles underlying various programming concepts. |
PEO2 | To develop an ability to understand complex issues in the analysis, design, implementation and operation of information systems. |
PEO3 | To provide knowledge of mechanisms for building large-scale computer-based systems. |
PEO4 | To develop an ability to provide computer-based solutions to problems from other disciplines of science and engineering. |
PEO5 | To impart skills necessary for adapting to rapid changes taking place in the field of information and communication technologies. |
PROGRAMME OUTCOMES (POS)
