Department is also planning for different well equipped laboratories with modern instruments, classrooms, separate computing facility with latest licensed software’s, visual aids like charts and models, audio video learning material and specially prepared transparencies etc.
The Department focuses on advanced research and education in the broad areas of Geotechnical, Structural, Transportation, and Water Resources & Environmental Engineering. The faculty also renders technical advice on live engineering problems to various Government and Private sector The academic activities of the Department emphasizes deep understanding of fundamental principles, development of creative ability to handle the challenges of Civil Engineering, and the analytical ability to solve problems which are interdisciplinary in nature. The department of Civil Engineering with its multifaceted faculty continues to maintain and cultivate its strong link with the infrastructural industry, academic and research institution
HOD MESSAGE
Welcome to Department of Civil Engineering
The department has highly-qualified and highly experienced faculty. The department has state-of-the-art laboratories with all equipment and software which cater to academic needs and fulfill authentic testing of materials for stakeholder. The civil engineering department has ability to produce the engineers with in depth Civil Engineering knowledge for analysis, design, construction and maintenance of various structures, additionally computer design skills, communication skills and management skills to satisfy the client better. The department is well known for presenting consistently good academic results, good rate of students placements in renowned industries and excelling in co-curricular as well as extra-curricular activities.
The department has students association under which, in every semester students conducts several programs such as expert/guest lectures by best faculties and professionals of their domain knowledge and organizes various competitions in order to get satisfy their own interest and explore their abilities. The department promotes the students to undergo and involve in research and development. The department engage industrial visit yearly in order to understand construction methods, techniques and expose student to industrial working culture and to help student to connect and understand the academic skills and industry skills. I invite you to be part of our efforts as we propel the department Civil Engineering to ever-greater heights. I wish all the students and faculty a good academic career.
Sincerely, and with best wishes,
Prof. Shashikant Gopal Kamble
