Our institute has a ational Service scheme (NSS) unit which is sanctioned by affiliated Board, Directorate of Technical Education Mumbai, MSBTE with a sanctioned strength of 50. The prime objective of affiliated University is to sanction the NSS unit and provide the financial support for National Service Scheme (NSS) so as to give an extension dimension to the higher education system and orient the student youth to community service while they are studying in educational institution. It helps to understand the problems of community, to take the part in social activities, and interact with society. Every year the NSS camp is organized for the duration of 7 days in rural area, which is monitored by University coordinator. The NSS unit at our institute is vibrant and the NSS members voluntarily participate in various social activities such as : tree plantation, blood donation, village cleaning, create awareness among the villagers and slum dwellers about digital / online transaction and various government schemes, women empowerment, disaster management, security and safety measures, health and sanitary awareness, construction of water reservoir, health checkups, importance of organ donation, educational/vocational guidance and service to afflicted and downtrodden. It is felt that NSS members’ interaction with the common villagers and slum dwellers will expose them to the realities of life and bring about a change in their social perception.

• To finalized the budget of the programmes.
• To plan and conduct various activities.
• To plan and execute special winter camp.
• To prepare and submit detailed annual report to the MSBTE.
• To prepare and present audit report.

The NSS committee shall have following members:

• One senior faculty from institute as a coordinator.
• One faculty member from each department as a member.
• One student representative as a student coordinator.
